Family Art Club celebrates creativity and play through hands-on making, painting and drawing. Every week we’ll reveal a treasure trove of art materials, loose parts and recycling themed around our exhibitions to be transformed into whatever artworks, models and fashion accessories you can dream up!

Family Art Club is suitable for children of all ages and we encourage parents, grandparents and carers to get stuck in too – this isn’t children’s art club, its Family Art Club!

Please wear clothes you won’t be upset about getting messy.

Breakfast cereal for children is provided for free at this club.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Booking
Family Art Club is a drop-in session, but we do recommend booking to make sure that you have a place during busier times. Places at Family Art Club are offered on a ‘pay what you can’ donation basis, so that you can choose how much to pay according to what your family can afford. Your donations support us in delivering an accessible arts service for local families.

Family Art Club Membership

You can buy a Family Art Club membership pack from reception. Prices range from £9.99 to £29.99 depending on how many arty goodies you’d like! All packs include membership cards, at least one sketchbook and a range of drawing supplies.

Coming Up!

· 11th January – Bubble! We’re getting out the washing up liquid and shaving foam to create bubble paintings and marbled paper! Make sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy this session.

· 18th January – Squash! This week gets squidgy! Roll up your sleeves for play dough, plasticine and clay! Make sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy this session.

· 25th January – Saint Dwynwen’s Day! Take inspiration from 5th century Celtic artwork to design your own patterns and symbols.

· 1st February – Stripes! With rulers or wobbles, we’ll be creating stripy creations from zebras in pajamas to tigers in suits!

· 8th February – Blue! From skies to seas we’ll see what we can make in navy, cyan, cerulean, sapphire, cobalt and azure!

· 15th February – Ink! Let’s get drawing! We’ll be using all kinds of pens and brushes to get inky with our artworks!
