1pm to 2pm
Wednesday 19th of March
Our new season of lunchtime classical and contemporary concerts are under way, they feature live music performances from a diverse range of musicians and genres. You can attend the concert spontaneously on your lunch break, the programme lasts 45 to 55 minutes and often showcases chamber music, solo piano recitals, folk music, classical guitar and classical duos. Performances are every other Wednesday between 1pm and 2pm in our Performance Space, entry is free but we welcome donations.
As you would expect of a lunchtime concert, our food court will be open serving a variety of delicious food and drink offerings. You also might want to make time to visit the gallery before or after the concert.
With a deep love for classical and operatic repertoire, Eve is delighted to be part of Ty Pawb’s Matinee series, bringing a programme of expressive and timeless works to audiences in Wrexham.
Belgian soprano Eve Marie is celebrated for her versatility, and engaging stage presence. Her career began as Young Cosette in the official Antwerp production of Les Misérables, later leading to performances with Opera Ballet Vlaanderen’s kinderkoor. Now based in North Wales, she has established herself as a sought-after artist, captivating audiences in opera, concert, and recital settings across the UK and Europe.
Eve trained at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester and has performed in landmark recordings such as Haydn’s Creation with the Gabrieli Consort. As a young artist with the 2024/25 OperUs Academy in Trieste, Italy, she is preparing for her LRSM and will soon perform at the historic Sala Bazlen in Palazzo Gopcevich, Italy.
Recent highlights include her soloist appearance at the Llangollen Eisteddfod with NEW Voices and the NEW Sinfonia Orchestra, as well as performances in Elijah at the North Wales Music Festival and A Night at the Opera. She also made her role debut as Zerlina (Don Giovanni) with North Wales Opera and will soon cover the role of Nedda (Pagliacci).
