Our new season of lunchtime classical and contemporary concerts are under way, they feature live music performances from a diverse range of musicians and genres. You can attend the concert spontaneously on your lunch break, the programme lasts 45 to 55 minutes and often showcases chamber music, solo piano recitals, folk music, classical guitar and classical duos. Performances are every other Wednesday between 1pm and 2pm in our Performance Space, entry is free but we welcome donations.
As you would expect of a lunchtime concert, our food court will be open serving a variety of delicious food and drink offerings. You also might want to make time to visit the gallery before or after the concert.

Alison Loram began playing the violin through Shropshire’s County Music Service, going on to study at the Royal College of Music. Playing-related problems led her to the Alexander Technique which she has taught at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire since 1993. After gaining a BSc, MSc and PhD, Alison also developed a career as a research scientist and is a practitioner with the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine. Since returning to the violin in 2011, Alison has appeared regularly in recitals and chamber concerts at numerous venues in Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire, and as soloist with several orchestras in the region. She also works as a freelance orchestral player and plays regularly with the Stockport Symphony and Shropshire Chamber orchestras.
Originally from Korea, Min Song is both a cellist and a chef. He began his musical journey at the age of ten, studying at Yewon School of Arts in Seoul and then, after coming to the UK at the age of 15, at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester. There and at the Royal Northern College of Music, he studied with Emma Ferrand. A highpoint for him came in 2010 when, during doctoral studies at the University of York he performed Elgar’s Cello Concerto with the University Symphony Orchestra.
Born and raised in Japan, Yuki Kagajo began piano lessons at the age of five, going on to study at Hiroshima University. After moving to the UK in 2002, she gained a Master’s Degree in Music from Leeds College of Music, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music. Since then, Yuki has been performing professionally as a recitalist, concerto soloist and chamber musician. She is also a dedicated piano teacher, tutoring at Wrekin College in Telford and Shrewsbury School, and maintaining a busy private practice at her home in Alsager. age of five, going on to study at Hiroshima University. After moving to the UK in 2002, she gained a Master’s Degree in Music from Leeds College of Music, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance from the Royal Northern College of Music. Since then, Yuki has been performing professionally as a recitalist, concerto soloist and chamber musician.
