Wrecsam 2029 Community Drop Ins
May 6 @ 17:30 - 19:30

Come and hear more about Wrexham’s UK City of Culture 2029 bid.
Wrexham is bidding to host UK City of Culture 2029 – a prestiguous title that would see Wrexham deliver a county-wide programme of cultural events during the year 2029.
Securing the title would bring significant economic and social benefits to Wrexham, attracting inward investment, creating jobs, increasing access to cultural activity and giving us an opportunity to tell Wrexham’s story on a national scale.
Community is at the heart of Wrexham’s bid. Winning the title will be a collaborative process that will engage local people and communities, cultural organisations, businesses and public sector bodies, as we work together to showcase the authentic and diverse voices of Wrexham.
Whilst the formal bidding process for 2029 is yet to open, we’ve been busy behind the scenes establishing the new ‘Wrexham Community & Culture Trust’, and putting everything we need in place so we can hit the ground running as soon as it does.
If you’d like to find out more about our journey so far, we are hosting a series of 6 drop-in sessions in April and May at various locations across Wrexham County. The sessions will provide an opportunity to:
